Sovići

Sovici, more Sovici Donji and Gornji Sovici, are local communities (Croatian Mjesna zajednica, short MZ ) of the greater community ( Općina ) Gruda in the southwest of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The long road village is situated in the southwestern part of West Herzegovina canton, and has 2,550 inhabitants; mostly Croats.

Sovici Donji consists of the settlements Vlašići, Prlići, Pejici, Šimići, Pejića Draga, Čuljci, Bošnjaci and Bobanova Draga together with 1,500 inhabitants in 340 households ( 2013).

Sovici Gornji has 1,050 inhabitants in 193 households ( 2013).

Religion

The residents of Sovici are mostly Roman Catholic; his parish belongs to the Diocese of Mostar Ratko Peric.
