The city Soyapango is a municipality in El Salvador, it is located in the department and in the Área Metropolitana de San Salvador.

Geography

Soyapango is located 7 kilometers east of the center of San Salvador, bounded on the north by the municipalities of Ciudad Delgado and Tonacatepeque, in the south it borders Santo Tomas and San Marcos, in the east it borders the municipality of Ilopango, and to the west by Ciudad Delgado and San Salvador.

History
