Spamalot

Monty Python 's Spamalot is a musical based on the movie The Holy Grail of the British comedy group Monty Python. It also contains some allusions from other Monty Python films. It was created by Eric Idle, Monty Python member, and John Du Prez wrote. It is directed by Mike Nichols. Spamalot is about the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table on their quest for the Holy Grail.

Productions

Since 17 March 2005, about 2 ½ hours long musical ran at the Shubert Theatre on Broadway in New York, before there were preview events in Chicago and New York. The last Broadway show was held on 11 January 2009.

From 1 April 2007 to 13 July 2008, Monty Python 's Spamalot in Las Vegas at the Wynn Las Vegas listed ( at The Grail Theater ).

On January 25, 2009, launched " Monty Python 's Spamalot - The totally crazy musical" in German language in the Musical Dome Cologne. The last performance took place on 13 September 2009. In the season 2011/2012 Monty Python 's Spamalot was on the board at the State Theatre of Lower Bavaria.

Since 25 September 2010, the musical " Spamalot " is the Teatr Muzyczny in Gdynia, Poland, under the direction of Maciej Korwin listed. The premiere took place on October 2, 2010.

On April 13, 2013, the Swiss was first performed at the Theater am Hechtplatz held in high German, a little English and a little bit of Swiss German.

Spamalot was nominated for 14 Tony Awards. Excellent it was ultimately Best Musical, Best Actress Sara Ramirez and Mike Nichols for Best Musical Director.

The tour was with the Boston 's Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Visiting Production: excellent (about standout guest appearance ).
