Spatuloricaria evansii

Spatuloricaria ( Syn: Euacanthagenys, Fowler, 1945) is a genus of catfish family of armored catfish ( Loricariidae ) and the subfamily Loricariinae. There are eleven species ( Spatuloricaria fimbriata ) are also common in Central America in Rio Tuira in the Panamanian province of Darién in northern and central South America from Colombia and Venezuela to Peru and with a kind.

Features

Spatuloricaria species are partly reach relatively large, slender fish, the body lengths of 8 to 40 cm. Characteristic of the genus are the only very weakly developed scutes on the body bottom. The head of the fish is triangular or rounded in plan view. For adult males, the exterior edges of the head with long, dense bristles and the hard rays of chest and pelvic fins are covered with spines. The teeth of the fish are long and thin, the males have a spoon-shaped crown, while the females are narrow at the top. The upper fin ray of the caudal fin is extended into a long filament.
