SPENS ( Serbian Cyrillic СПЕНС ) is the better known name for the sports and business center " Vojvodina " (Serbian Спортски и пословни центар Војводина / Sportski i poslovni centar Vojvodiuna ) in Novi Sad, the second largest city of Serbia. The acronym SPENS goes back to the occasion of its construction, the Table Tennis World Cup 1981 ( Serbian Стонотениско Првенство Нови Сад / Stonotenisko Prvenstvo Novi Sad ). The SPENS lies southeast of downtown.
The complex includes many sports and event venues, conference facilities, of which the Great Hall ( Velika dvorana ) with about 7000 seats has the largest seating capacity. There are also games of the preliminary and main round of the European Handball Championship 2012 men are discharged.
In the existing ice rink ( Ledena dvorana ), which is the home ground of HK Vojvodina Novi Sad and the HK Novi Sad, was found among other tournaments in the U18 Junior World Championship of IIB Division 2012 Men 's World Cup IIA Division 2009 and preliminary groups the IIHF Continental Cup 1998, 2003 /04 and 2008/ 09 instead.
