SpeedFan

SpeedFan (from the English "Speed" for speed and "fan" for fans) is a free measurement, monitor, control and control program for (internal ) PC temperature sensors and fan, for all current Windows operating systems (Windows 95). In addition, can also be represented various voltages ( such as vCore and other power supply output voltages) read and graphically, even over a longer course.

Applications

With SpeedFan can, inter alia, relatively easy overheating problems are diagnosed by computers, which can be expressed for example by otherwise inexplicable system shutdowns. But it can also happen that the read-out of SpeedFan temperatures are far from reality.

It is also possible to turn down the fan, the rotational speed of some (using software ) in order to dampen the noise levels. However, these functions are dependent on whether the equipment used - such as the main processor ( CPU), the motherboard chipset, hard drives, power supply - support the functionalities of this program.

Further tuning option is the dynamic change of the CPU and / or FSB clock, which can reduce the heat generation of the computer components, while the system is idle. This improves the noise reduction, since less heat, the fans can be further adjusted downward. Also, it improves the battery life of battery-powered devices.

Currently, different motherboard chipsets are supported, inter alia, about 200. As basis of the functionality described is used, among other things built into modern hard drives 'SMART' technology called. Thus it is possible, within certain limits, the physical condition of your hard drives to determine by online analysis.

Download size is about 2.0 MB ( 4:49 version of 2013). The program must be installed, a portable version is not available.
