Spézet

Spézet ( Speied Breton ) is a commune with 1804 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Finistère.

Location

The place is centrally located in the west of Brittany, near the River Alder at the northern edge of the ridge Montagnes Noires. Quimper is located 35 km southwest, the wholesale and port city of Brest 60 km north- west of Paris and about 460 km to the east (in straight line ).

Infrastructure

In Châteaulin, Quimper and ROSPORDEN in the west and south, there are departures on the highway E 60 Brest -Nantes and at Landivisiau and Morlaix, on the north by the E 50 Brest- Rennes.

In the aforementioned communities are also stations on predominantly parallel regional rail lines. The train station of Brest is the end of TGV Atlantique to Paris.

The airports Aéroport de Brest Brittany, near Brest and Lorient Bretagne Sud Aéroport de Lorient at the next regional airports.

When belonging to the municipality of Pont - Triffen the Hyère flows into the River Alder. Together they form a section of the Canal de Nantes à Brest, which can be navigated by ships. Upstream of Pont- Triffen the channel is only to Carhaix- Plouguer passable.

Attractions

The most important sight in the village is the chapel of Notre -Dame du Crann in 1535 ( among others information on the homepage of the community ). The Château de Trévarez castle is located in close proximity to the neighboring village of Saint- Goazec.
