Spezzano della Sila
Spezzano della Sila is an Italian village on the slopes of the Sila in the province of Cosenza in Calabria with 4485 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Spezzano della Sila is located approximately 18 km east of Cosenza in the upper reaches of the river Crati. The neighboring municipalities are Casole Bruzio, Celico, Longobucco and Spezzano Piccolo. The districts Camigliatello Silano and Moccone are holiday resorts.
Attractions
The parish church dates from the 15th century. Inside is an altarpiece from the 17th century. Next to the church of San Francesco di Paola is a monastery with an interesting cloister.
