Spindle, the shuttle, and needle is a fairy tale (ATU 585 ). It is in the Children's and Household Tales of the Brothers Grimm from the 5th edition of 1843 instead 188 (KHM 188) and is based on Ludwig Aurbachers The Pathengeschenke in his booklet for the youth of 1834.
