Spinning Dancer

The dancer is an animated bistable picture puzzle showing a apparently pirouettierende animated woman silhouette that actually contains no depth information - because it is among other things to an orthographic projection - and can therefore be perceived as veering left or. It is thus related to the Necker cube. The animation was created by web designer Nobuyuki Kayahara.

Triggered by an article in the Australian Daily Telegraph this animation spread to 2007/2008 through the blogosphere - as the alleged psychological test, which was to prove the basis of the perceived direction of rotation, which hemisphere is dominant in the person viewing.
