Splashed white

Splashed White, also SW1 or Nordic spotting called, is a spotted coat pattern of the horse, in which alternating colored areas and white in the coat of the horse. The white drawing rises from the bottom up on the horse, white belly spots, white legs and big white markings on the head, and blue eyes are typical of this drawing.

Appearance

Heterozygous SW1

Heterozygous animals are partially optically pure difficult to detect. They show no check drawing and can be monochrome, although they carry the genetic predisposition for Splashed White. Others have blue eyes or subtle markings on the head or legs. Still others have large white head and leg markings. The expression can be very different.
