The Spoel (German and advises. , Written in Italian-speaking Spoel or Spol and formerly called Aqua Granda ) is a 28 km long river in Italy and in Switzerland. Its valley is called Romansh Val dal Spöl.

Run

The Spoel originates on the Alpe Vago under the Forcola di Livigno Livigno in the western Alps on the Swiss- Italian border, flows through Livigno and flows Zernez into the Inn. Incident

Due to an incident at the Engadine power plants, favored by the exceptionally low water level in the Lago di Livigno, the Spöl Bach was born on March 30, 2013, cover below the dam Punt dal Gall to the equalization tank Ova Spin on a length of about six kilometers with mud. Thousands of brook trout and other aquatic life died.
