Sprakebüll

Sprakebüll (Danish: Spragebøl, North Frisian: Språkebel ) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein. Free Will, Sandacker (Danish: Sandager, North Frisian: Suneeker ) and Sprakebüllfeld are the same in the municipal area as the goods Gaarde ( North Frisian: e Guurd ) and Høgelund (Danish: Høgelund, also Højlund, North Frisian: Huugelün ). The community, through the leak Au flows, is located in a wooded area.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1498. The place name probably means settlement of Spragh, but may also relate to the time of the town founded by very wooded area.

After dissolution of the estate districts Gaarde, Fresenhagen and Høgelund these 1928 were incorporated into the church.

1998, a wind farm was built with five wind turbines.

Policy

From nine seats of the municipal council voters Community AWG had since the municipal election 2008, five seats and the voter community AWG 78 four. The election on May 26, 2013 was as follows: AWG 78 AWG six and three seats. The turnout was 63.6 per cent last.
