SPV GmbH

The Hanover-based SPV GmbH ( abbreviation for records, production and sales) is a German record company and was founded in 1984 by Manfred Schütz. SPV is, among other owner of the record label SPV Recordings, Snake, Steamhammer, Synthetic Symphony, Oblivion and Audiopharm. Since 2004, SPV nor the sublabel SPVision connected via which independent DVDs and anime are sold.

A takeover by the schlager -heavy Berlin music publisher Jack White Productions AG had failed to opposition SPV artists.

In October 2012, a powerful team of investors found consisting of a successful music manager Stefan Harder, Peppermint Jam CEO Errol Rennalls and the Hanoverian pop star Mousse T. Gündogdu, which is a survival of the labels and the artists' portfolios after positive end of his term insolvency proceedings and successful completion of rehabilitation of the company secures.

In addition, in connection with the acquisition by the investor group other key positions in the company were re -, respectively reshuffled so that SPV with increased clout further operates on the market and acts on the classical label work out as a strong independent media service in the digital domain.
