Søren Petersen

Søren Peter Petersen (December 6, 1894 in Kolding, Denmark, † 1945 in Belgium) was a Danish heavyweight boxer.

Søren Petersen took at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp in part for the first time at the Olympics and won after a final defeat by Ronald Rawson the silver medal. However, it was then not a professional boxer, but remained an amateur and was therefore four years later again participate at the Olympics. At the games in Paris in 1924, he fought his way to the final again, but lost against the Norwegian Otto von Porat. After these Olympics, he became a professional boxer, but could win titles any more. Of his 16 professional fights, he won eight, including three by knockout, lost seven, six of them by knockout, a battle was a draw. His last fight, he played on 29 February 1932.
