The steamer Pisa was built for Sloman at Alexander Stephen and Sons in Glasgow passenger ship for the North Atlantic traffic. Pisa was first used in 1897 and was in the vicinity when the Titanic sank after hitting an iceberg on 15 April 1912.

Service history

The built at Alexander Stephen and Sons Pisa was the last for the Sloman shipping company built passenger ship and the first to be offered also great places for first-class passengers. She was launched on November 2, 1896 from the pile and began her maiden voyage from Hamburg to New York on 20 May 1897.
