St Edmundsbury

St Edmundsbury is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Suffolk in England. Council is based in Bury St Edmunds; Haverhill is the second largest city.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Borough of Bury St Edmunds, of Haverhill Urban District and Rural District Clare and Thingoe.
