St James' Gate F.C.

St. James 's Gate FC is an Irish football club, currently in the Sunday Senior 1A fünftklassigen League.

History

St. James 's Gate FC was founded in 1902, and was named as the football section of the Guinness Sports clubs after the St. James 's Gate Brewery.

The club was a founding member of the League of Ireland. In 1922 he won the first championship discharged. Furthermore, the team was able to win the premiere of the FAI Cup for in the same year. Until 1940 each another title, a runner-up title in the championship, and two final appearances followed in the Cup competition. After the season was 1943/44, completed on the last place, the league refused to participate in the following season, and the team descended into the Leinster Senior League.

1990 St. James 's Gate FC rose to the second-class First Division, but had to due to financial problems before the start of the 1996/97 season again retire from the professional operation. Currently, the first team of the club plays in the Sunday Senior 1A fünftklassigen League.
