St Kilda is a suburb of Melbourne, Australia, 7 km southeast of the central business district. St Kilda is located on the beach, a popular recreation area and a center of the arts and alternative culture. St Kilda is one of the most popular party in the city. Here are amongst a number of clubs and bars, many backpacker hostels. The most well-known street St Kilda is the Acland Street. There cakeshops lot, where you can also buy Austrian apple strudel. Origin of the name

St Kilda was named after the ship The Lady of St Kilda, Melbourne visited the city in 1841. The owner of the ship was the British politician Sir Thomas Dyke Acland, under whose name the main street of St Kilda, which was Acland Street known. The ship was originally named after the island of St. Kilda in Scotland.
