St. John's Church, Plön

The St. John's Church in Plön was founded in 1685 in the context of the founding of Plön Neustadt by Duke Hans Adolf as an independent parish church.

The half-timbered hall church with three-sided polygonal circuit was changed in 1861 by the installation of new windows and 1910 in the interior in the style of the Gothic Revival.

The Ploen Neustadt was an independent city until 1847. The parishes Plon - Plon Old Town and New Town - were united only in 1934.
