The Crucifixion altarpiece is a today only fragmentarily preserved altarpiece depicting the crucifixion of Jesus. The origin is not documented, but it comes in evidence a church in Rothenburg, possibly from the ( demolished ) Chapel of St Michael or from the Dominican church. Because of the close stylistic relationship is attributed to the works of Tilman Riemenschneider and his workshop. The sculptural decoration is dated in the years 1505 and 1508 and was thus about the same time as the manufactured Creglinger Mary altarpiece.
