Staccatissimo

Staccatissimo ( pl. staccatissimos or staccatissimos ) is an instruction for the musical performance, an audible separated and short (staccato ) put forward accentuation (see Articulation ( music) ). The sign for staccatissimo is a small wedge above or below the note. An example of Anton Bruckner's Symphony No. 0 in D minor:

Instead of the wedge and the word staccatissimo of the notes can be written.
