Stacy Keach

Walter Stacy Keach, Jr. ( born June 2, 1941 in Savannah, Georgia ) is an American actor and spokesperson. Most in dramatic roles he performs, his voice is the audience of PBS and the Discovery Channel well known. Originally he was named Stacy Keach, Jr. to distinguish him from his father Stacy Keach, Sr..

Life

Keach joined the Van Nuys High School in 1959 and studied at the University of California, Berkeley. He was drama at Yale University 's School of and was a Fulbright student at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art Keachs first appearance on Broadway was in 1969 as Buffalo Bill in Indians by Arthur Kopit. He was honored with numerous awards, including Obies, Drama Desk Awards, and Vernon Rice Awards. He played from 1984 to 1987 the private detective Mike Hammer in the CBS television series of the same name.

The younger television audiences, he is known as the spokesman of Nova, National Geographic, and various other popular science series. In addition, he appeared in the role of Ken Titus, the father in the series Titus, as Barabbas in Jesus of Nazareth and on as Cameron Alexander in American History X. He can also be seen in the television series Prison Break.

In 1984 he was arrested in cocaine smuggling in the UK and punishable by six months in prison.

Keach, himself born with a cleft lip, is the honorary chairman of the Cleft Palate Foundation, a foundation for patients with cleft palate. He married three times: Marilyn Aiken in 1975, Jill Donahue in 1981, and Malgosia Tomassi around 1986 He has two daughters from his second marriage and two children from his third marriage. .
