Stad Ship Tunnel

The Stad Skip Tunnel ( German " Stad Ship Tunnel" ) is an in- vessel tunnel planning in the West Norwegian Selje Fylke in Sogn og Fjordane, which is to traverse the Stadlandet. The tunnel will connect the Molde Fjord Eide with the Vanylvsfjord at Kjøde. The planned size of the building amounted to a height of 33 m, a width of 23 m and a length of 1.7 km; the water depth would be at 12 m. Thus, the ship tunnel would be large enough to allow the ships of the Hurtigruten passage. The construction costs are estimated at 1.7 billion Norwegian kroner.

The building is expected passage of the sea arm Stadthavet, which is considered very rough due to the cross lakes, are avoided.
