Stade Alphonse Theis

Swift Hesperingen
- U-17 European Football Championships 2006
The Alphonse Theis Stade is a football stadium in Hesper, Luxembourg. It is the homeland of Swift Hesperingen. The stadium has 600 seats in the main stand and has a further 3,500 standing places. By 2001, the stadium was called " Stade Holleschbierg " before it after the Hesperinger mayor and CSV politicians Alphonse Theis († 1999) was named.
The stadium was one of the venues for the U-17 European Football Championships 2006 in Luxembourg, but here found only group and no co- Games instead. The opening match against Luxembourg Spain ( Score: 1:7 ) saw 3,550 spectators, which meant a new attendance record for the stadium. Occasionally look for internationals of the Luxembourg team in the stadium.
