The Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny is a multi-purpose stadium in Abidjan in the Ivory Coast. It is used mainly for football matches, but also has a career and is therefore suitable for track and field events. The stadium has a capacity of 45,000 spectators. First, the stadium was named Stade Géo André, named after Géo André (1889-1943), a French athletics and rugby union player. Since 1964, it bears the name of Félix Houphouët- Boigny ( 1905-1993 ), the first reigning from 1960 to 1993, President of the Ivory Coast.

The Ivorian football club ASEC Mimosas transfers in the stadium of their home matches. In addition, the stadium will host the home games of the Ivorian national football team.

In 1984, the stadium was one of the venues for the African Cup. Overall, here there were 9 matches of the tournament, 6 round games, semi-finals, the 3rd place match and the final. 2009, the stadium was completely renovated with respect to the orientation of the first African Nations Championship, which took place in February and March of this year.

On 29 March 2009, there was during the World Cup qualifying match Ivory Coast - Malawi at the stadium to a tragic accident. Under the pressure of flowing into the stadium spectators collapsed a wall, with a total of 19 people were killed and over 130 were injured.

On January 1, 2013, came close to the stadium after the New Year's fireworks to a stampede that killed 61 people and 200 others were injured.
