The stadium Františka Kloze is a football stadium in the Czech city of Kladno. It is the venue of the football club SK Kladno. In the stadium, which is named after František Kloz, are 4,000 seats available.

Characteristics

The stadium is located on the western outskirts Kladno in close proximity to urban ice rink. It has four stands, but is expanded only on three sides. History

In the spring of 1914, the City Council of Kladno decided to build a new craft school. As a surface for the new locality U Amálky was elected, on which was partly the football field of SK Kladno. The club was very fast in the very near in the city forest Lapak a new plot and began under the direction of client hraběte with the construction of a new sports field. The new space was opened on October 25, 1914 with a match against SK Kročehlavy, which ended 3-3.

In 1951 the clay court was converted into a lawn. On 31 August 1969, the stadium in honor of František Kloz was renamed the stadium Františka Kloze. In 1988, a reconstruction of the stadium, which lasted for nearly 20 years began. First, the roof and the facade of the main stand was renewed. In addition SONP also began the construction of a new, small stand next to the grandstand, but did not go beyond the construction of the steel structure. The grandstand was finally finished in 2005.

In 1998, meanwhile privatized SONP Holding went bankrupt. The SK Kladno purchased the stadium from the bankruptcy estate for 3.75 million crowns.

During the long-lasting restructuring of the late 1980s to 2007, the capacity of 25,000 spectators initially declined to 10,000. In a further stage, the stadium was converted to an all- seater, which can accommodate 4,000 spectators.

In December 2008, the media speculated that the city of Kladno could buy the stadium SK Kladno for 45 million crowns.
