Stajićevo camp

The prison camp Stajićevo ( Logor Stajićevo ) was an agricultural operation in Livade at Stajićevo near Zrenjanin (Serbia ), were being held in the Croatian prisoners of war and civilians during the Croatian war in 1992 by Serbian authorities. Also prisoners were transferred to the prison camp in Sremska Mitrovica from the camp. According to various testimonies 1500-6500 people there were arrested. The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia ( ICTY) is a number of prisoners at 1,700 people.

The prison camp was mentioned by the ICTY in the trial of Serbian President Slobodan Milošević. Survivor witnesses reported beatings and electric shocks to which they were exposed in the camp. According to the statements also units of Beli Orlovi were active in the camp.
