The hand rammer ( also bridesmaid, Besetzschlägel, pestle, rammer, Hoye or Heye called ) is a sign used at start-up and road work tool.

The hand rammer consists of an approximately 1 m long, downward more werdendem wood, which can be reinforced with iron bands. Another embodiment is an iron Pochschuh with wood insert or full iron.
