Stanisław Tym

Stanisław Tym ( born July 17, 1937 in Małkinia Gorna ) is a Polish satirist, actor, director and author.

In the 1950s, Tym studied chemistry in Warsaw and received acting lessons at the State Drama School PWST. Even as a student he wrote satirical texts and performed at cabarets students. From 1960 to 1972 he was an actor, writer and director of the cabaret stage Studencki Teatr Satyryków (STS). From 1984 to 1986 he was director of the theater in Elblag.

In addition to numerous comedic theater texts and sketches Tym wrote screenplays for Stanisław Bareja and has already appeared in the 1960s in films. One of his most iconic roles he received from Marek Piwowski in the cult film Rejs. His first film as a screenwriter for Bareja created in 1976 under the pseudonym Andrzej kill. In 1981 he wrote the satirical cult film Miś. He took over the lead role of Ryszard Ochódzki. In 1991 he wrote another script about the satirical figure Ryszard Ochódzki and 2007 followed with the film Ryś a third part. In Ryś Tym also took over as director.

Stanisław Tym also wrote columns in the weekly magazine Wprost, but changed before the parliamentary elections in Poland in 2007 to Polityka weekly.
