Stanley Donwood

Stanley Donwood is the pen name of English author and artist Dan Rickwood, who is best known for his involvement in the packaging design of the albums by the British rock band Radiohead.

He and frontman Thom Yorke work as consistently in the development of the websites of the band. Yorke called in this context always Dr. Tchock or The White Chocolate Farm or used similar names.

Donwood and Yorke met during their joint art studies at the University of Exeter know and won a Grammy in 2001 for the packaging design of the special edition of Amnesiac which consisted of a red hardback with many abstract and sinister illustrations.

In addition to his work with Radiohead Donwood also maintains a website on which he introduces his own short stories and various other literary products.

Despite its popularity, its status has repeatedly given rise to speculation as to whether he and Thom Yorke are not one and the same person. However, he can be seen in the video for Fake Plastic Trees and participated personally in the presentation of the Grammys obtained with Yorke.
