Stanovac

Stanovc / Stanovci is a small village near the large village Vučitrn, Kosovo. Stanovc is located between the river Sitnica and the main road Pristina - Kosovska Mitrovica. Stanovc is about 15 kilometers away from the capital, Pristina. It was founded in 1970 and has a population of about 2000 people. The land is mainly used for agriculture, but there are also many people have the ordinary houses. The mountain is 1091 meters high and Čičavica to see in the west of the village. About 50 years ago the last school in Stanovc was built, but shortly thereafter, the school burned down. For the school year 2008/ 09 is currently being built a new school house, because so far the students from Stanovc had specially after Vučitrn.
