Star of People's Friendship

The Star of Friendship of Nations is an order, which was awarded in the GDR. He was endowed on 20 August 1959, and served the appreciation of extraordinary contributions to the German Democratic Republic to the understanding and friendship between the peoples and the preservation of peace. The order consists of a five-pointed star with the GDR emblem in the center, on the ears of corn wreath is a symbolic dove of peace by Pablo Picasso. In addition, there was a medal bar and a 2.50 m long shoulder strap.
