Star One (satellite operator)
Star One is a Brazilian satellite operator, a company established in 2000, daughter of Embratel. The company is based in Rio de Janeiro.

Star One has a small fleet of satellites.
Star One C1 was launched aboard an Ariane 5 -ECA at 22:06 clock UTC on 14 November 2007. Its launch was postponed due to a problem with the rocket and on November 12 on 9 November due to a problem with the launch pad. The satellite was built by Thales Alenia Space, based on the Spacebus 3000 B3 platform. It is home to 28 C -band transponders, 14 Ku -band transponders and an X -band transponders. His weight was 4100 kg at launch.
Star One C2 was started at 0:17 clock UTC 19 April 2008, on board an Ariane 5 ECA.
Star One C3 was launched at 21:05 UTC clock on 10 November 2012 on board an Ariane 5 ECA.
In addition, Star One operates the satellite Star One C12, Brasilsat B3 and B4 Brasilsat. The previous satellite Brasilsat A1, A2 Brasilsat, Brasilsat B1 and B2 Brasilsat are out of service.
