Geography
Geographical Location
Stare Jabłonki is about eleven kilometers east of Ostróda and 29 kilometers west of Olsztyn, the capital of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The place is located in the district Pojezierze Iławskie.
History
The oldest mention of Stare Jabłonki there is in a document from the year 1584. During the 1930s, the Germans discovered the pines of the surrounding forests as a material for the aerospace industry. The work with the trees gave many residents, their main income. On July 16, 1938, the city was renamed in Altfinken. On 12 November 1946, it received its present Polish name.
Population Development
At the beginning of the Second World War, 276 people live in Stare Jabłonki. 2006, the population had grown to 700 people.

Structures
The religious center of the village is the church of Mother Boskiej Królowej Polski.
Sports
Nationwide gained fame Stare Jabłonki as a regular venue for a beach volleyball tournament of the FIVB World Tour. Since 2004, the beach volleyball players play in the small town. 2013, the World Championship was held here. There is also the football club Szeląg Stare Jabłonki.
Regular events
Since 1998, the music festival " Sielawa Blues".
