Stargarder Land

In office Stargarder country seven municipalities were merged into the city of Burg Stargard to perform their administrative business. The Office is located in the east of the county Mecklenburg Lake District in the south of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It borders the county town of Neubrandenburg and the Tollensee. The headquarters is located in Burg Stargard.

The Office emerged from the former Office Burg Stargard country. On 1 July 2002, the formerly independent city official Burg Stargard was integrated into the Office; the official name was changed while in office Stargarder country. With the incorporation of Teschendorf to Burg Stargard on 27 September 2009, the number of official member municipalities reduced again to seven.

The immediate catchment area of Neubrandenburg the area of the office is often used as Stargarder country residence in the countryside. The communities are predominantly agricultural, tourism plays a role especially at Tollensee. Through the office area, the highway passes 96
