Staříč

Staříč ( German Staritsch, formerly Starzitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers west of the center of Frýdek- Místek and belongs to Okres Frýdek- Místek.

Geography

Staříč is a long-drawn Waldhufendorf in Beskidenvorland, the creek on four kilometers long, between the valleys of Ondřejnice and Olešná along the Ptáčnický and Staříčský creek through the highest part of the Strážnice in east-west direction extends. In the north, the Strážnice (392 m) and Okrouhlá raises the Kamenná (385 m), south ( 373 m). East of the highway R 56 extends from Ostrava to Frýdek- Místek, at the Staříč departure.

Neighboring towns are Krmelín, Oprechtice, Mala Ves and Žabeň in the north, Liskovec in the northeast, Sviadnov in the east, Místek the southeast, Lysůvky, Zelinkovice, Chlebovice and Krnalovice in the south, Fryčovice the southwest, Ptáčník and Borošín in the west and Brušperk in the northwest.

History

Staříč was probably founded in the wake of the first colonization of the Beskidenvorlandes. The first written mention of the village dates from 1258. The document was unearthed in 1906 by a farmer in his field, together with remains of ashes and bones.

Since 1582 in Staritz a school detectable, the church was also in the 16th century. At the end of the 18th century the rectory was built. From 1838, a distinction between old and new Starzitsch. 1850 he produced the municipality Starzitsch / Staříč in the district Mistek, which consisted of the districts and Stara Nova Staříč. Between 1901 and 1902, the French mining engineer Chanove led exploration drilling for coal. In the second half of the 20th century, several mine shafts of the mines and Staříč Staříč II were drilled in the vicinity of the village. Since 1961, the village is part of the Okres Frýdek- Místek. Between 1980 and 1990 Staříč was incorporated under the name Frýdek- Místek 9- Staříč after Frýdek- Místek.
