Starmap Mobile Alliance
The Starmap Mobile Alliance was a combination of several, rather small, European mobile phone companies, which was founded on October 1, 2003 by O ₂, one, Sunrise, Telenor many daughters and others. She stood in competition with other collaborations such as the Free Move- alliance.
The mobile operators savings hoped to achieve through higher purchasing power over network equipment and terminal Rather locations. At the same time cross-network services, such as charging a prepaid card with a credit card of a member alliance were possible.
Since the targets were not achieved and with Amena a very large member as a result of the acquisition was eliminated by Orange from the alliance, cooperation in the Starmap Mobile Alliance was discontinued in early 2007.
