State Institute of Canon Law of the dioceses in Germany

The Institute for State Church Law of the dioceses of Germany is an institution founded in 1970, the Association of German Dioceses (VDD ), headquartered in Bonn.

Organization

The Institute for State Church Law was founded in 1970 by the German Bishops' Conference, under the auspices of the Diocese of Essen, and is supported by the Association of German Dioceses since 1975. Was the founding director of the Jesuit Joseph Listl, supported by Heiner Marré and Karl Eugen asleep.

The task of the institute is the confrontation with the state church law in theory and practice. In addition to providing legal advice to church organizations and the information about the state church legal developments, the Institute is responsible for monitoring the development of the relationship between state, religion and church.

The Institute is a scientific advisory board support (Josef Isensee (Chairman), Christian Starck, among others ).
