Statue of Liberty (Mytilene)

The Statue of Liberty (Greek Άγαλμα της Ελευθερίας ) is located east of the harbor entrance of Mytilini on the Greek island of Lesbos.

The statue was created by the Greek sculptor Gregory Zevgolis designed by the local painter Georgios Iakovidis. The bronze statue was cast in 1922 in Germany and built in 1930 and inaugurated in Mytilini, she is dedicated to the victims of the First World War. The statue, with its marble base, 15 feet high.
