Stefan Arsenijević

Stefan Arsenijević ( born March 11, 1977 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian film director and screenwriter.

Life and work

Arsenijević studied philosophy, film and television directing in Belgrade and began in the late 1990s to stage his first short films. His first short film, The Plum Tree (2000) was awarded in Belgrade during the Yugoslav Documentary and Short Film Festival for best debut and the " Golden Knight Film Festival " in Moscow with the "Special Jury Prize for outstanding artistic achievements ." 2003 won Arsenijević with (A) twist at the Berlinale Golden Bear in the short film division. In the same year the film was also nominated for the Short Film Academy Award.
