Stefan Grabiński

Stefan Grabiński ( born February 26, 1887 in Kamionka Strumiłowa, now Ukraine, † November 12, 1936 in Lwów ) ​​was a Polish writer and author of horror fiction, which was sometimes referred to as " the Polish Poe ".

Grabiński worked in Lviv and Przemysl as a teacher and was known for his collected in Demon ruchu railway stories. A number of his works have been translated into English by Miroslaw Lipinski and published as "The Dark Domain". Other works, such as Szamota 's Mistress were filmed.

Grabiński died in 1936 of tuberculosis.
