Stefan Hierländer

Stefan Hierländer ( born February 3, 1991 Villach, Carinthia ) is an Austrian football player. The acting as a midfielder Hierländer plays since 2010 for Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Football Bundesliga.

Career

Hierländer began his career at SV Access castle in Carinthia. In 2002 he moved to the youth department of the SV Spittal / Drau. After another three years, he came to FC Kärnten, where he was active in the youth team until 2007.

After the founding of SK Austria Kärnten he was employed in the youth team and in amateur team. In the summer of 2008 he signed for Sampdoria, but returned after a few weeks back to Carinthia, where he worked his way into the first team under Frenk Schinkel. His debut in the Bundesliga was the midfielder on 18 March 2009 against SK Sturm Graz, when he came on in the 57th minute for Manuel Weber. The game ended 4-2 for the Grazer.

After Austria Kärnten received a license for the 2010/2011 season, Hierländer moved free transfer to Red Bull Salzburg. On July 20, 2013, he played his 100th Bundesliga match, 62 for Salzburg.
