Stefan Krauter

Stefan Krauter (* 1963 in Göppingen ) is a German professor and entrepreneur in the field of renewable energies. His activities in teaching and research as well as in the entrepreneurial field are used globally to realize a sustainable energy supply. He has focused on the direct conversion of light into electrical energy, photovoltaics ( especially their technology ), specialized. He initiated and organized several conferences in Rio de Janeiro (RIO 02/3/5/6/9 - World Climate & Energy Events ) connected with an exhibition, in order to maintain in this area, the vision of the UNCED Earth Summit in Rio in 1992.

Life

From 1982 to 1988 Krauter studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich ( TUM). From 1989 to 1993, he was awarded his doctorate on the optical, thermal and electrical model of photovoltaic modules at the Technical University of Berlin ( TUB) with Prof. Rolf Hanitsch, during which he worked as a research assistant at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the TUB active.

In 1996 he founded with Paul Grunow, Saleh El -Khatib, Birgit Flore, Big John Boymann, Alexander Voigt and Wuseltronik GbR research and development ( Reiner Lemoine, Stefan Fütterer, Peter Fischer, Martin Sauter, Jürgen Hiller ) Solon AG, 1998 was recorded as the first company for solar technology in Germany on the Stock Exchange and Nasdaq since 2006 under ISIN DE0007471195 is performed.

In 1998 he qualified as a professor at the Technical University of Berlin on the energy balance of photovoltaic power plants, taking into account the reduction of the anthropogenic CO2 emissions. From 1998 to 2005 he was Visiting Professor of alternative energies at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro ( UFRJ - COPPE -EE ) and at the State University of Ceará ( UECE ) in Brazil. In 1999 he founded in Rio de Janeiro Riosolar Ltda, a company for planning, installation and operation of photovoltaic power systems. In the years 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2009, he organized the RIO - World Climate & Energy Events ( climate change through sustainable energies) and the Latin America Renewable Energy Fair ( LAREF, German: Latin American fair for renewable energies). In 2005 he organized a Volksuni for Sustainability and Energy in Fortaleza, Brazil. Since 2005 he has been an adjunct professor for photovoltaic energy systems at the Technical University of Berlin. In 2006 he founded together with Paul Grunow, Sven Lehmann and Jürgen Arp the Photovoltaic Institute Berlin AG ( PI Berlin AG). From 2008 to 2010 he was professor of photovoltaic energy systems at the University of Biberach. Since 2010 he is Professor and Chair of Sustainable Energy Concepts at the University of Paderborn.
