Stefan Kulovits ( born April 19, 1983 in Vienna) is an Austrian football player.

Career

Clubs

He began his career Stefan Kulovits at Red Star. He then moved to the Rapid offspring. At 18, he managed to climb to the Rapid amateurs and later into the first team from SK Rapid Wien. His first team debut was Kulovits in summer 2002. His greatest successes with the team were the profits of the Austrian championship in 2004/05 and 2007/ 08 as well as the entry into the main round of the UEFA Champions League 2005/06.

The midfielder had repeated injury problems. So he moved in 2005 to a metacarpal fracture, suffered a torn ACL in 2006 and 2007, a tibia fracture. From his teammate Andreas Herzog, he received the nickname " Kampfgelse ".

After eleven years at SK Rapid Wien Kulovits changed in the 2013/14 season to the German second division side SV Sandhausen.

National

After Kulovits had the Austrian youth national teams from U -16 through to U- 21, he made his debut on 8 February 2005 in the Austrian A-team in the game against Cyprus in Limassol. This initially remained his only calling. After six years of absence Dietmar Constantini coach called him on 19 May 2011 again into the squad for the European Championship qualifier against Germany on 3 June 2011 and the friendly match against Latvia on June 7, 2011.
