Stefan Wul

Pierre Pairault ( born March 27, 1922 in Paris, † 26 November 2003) was a French science fiction author who is best known under the pseudonym Stefan Wul.

Life and work

Pairault first studied philosophy and literature, but decided after graduation to study dentistry. In addition to his profession as a dentist, he held from 1945 until retirement in 1989, he wrote in the second half of the 1950s, eleven short stories, with which he made himself especially in the French-speaking world and a name until today enjoys cult status. Some of his works were used as a template for today popular science fiction movies. ( " Ruler of time" in the English version) of the French director René Laloux using prominent artists such as Jean ' Moebius ' Giraud Roland Topor or implemented as cartoon films Thus, among other Oms en série and L' orphelin de Perdide.
