Stefanos Paparounas

Paparounas Stefanos (Greek Στέφανος Παπαρούνας, born January 22, 1990 in Trikala ) is a Greek diver. It starts in the art of jumping from the 1- m and 3- m- board and with Alexandros Manos in the 3 -meter synchronized diving.

Paparounas celebrated his first international success at the Junior European Championships 2008 in Minsk, from the 3 -meter board, he won the individual and synchro competition bronze medals. In the adult area, he debuted at the 2009 European Championship in Turin, he reached the 3 -meter board two finals, finishing ninth in the individual and synchronized diving with Manos fifth. Another successful event was the 2011 European Championship, which also took place in Turin. Paparounas reached in an individual from the 1 -meter and 3 -meter board and in the 3 -meter synchronized diving the final. At the World Cup in 2012 Paparounas won a quota place for the diving at the 2012 Olympics in London.
