Steffen Iversen

Steffen Iversen ( born November 10, 1976 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian football player. He is the son of the legendary Norwegian striker Odd Iversen.

Club career

At the age of 18 years Steffen Iversen began his professional career at Rosenborg Trondheim 1995. Already in the first two seasons, he was able to celebrate each winning the Tippeligaen. After those two seasons, he left the club in the direction of England and hired the London club Tottenham Hotspur. There Iversen played between 1996 and 2003, but had constant strong competition such as Jürgen Klinsmann and Teddy Sheringham and not always therefore came as a regular player for use. In the 2003 /04 season he played in the Premier League newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers, but at the end of the season could not hold the class. Then he moved back to his native Norway. First, the capital club Vålerenga IF, with whom he celebrated the league title in 2005 and then to Rosenborg Trondheim where selbiges again succeeded in the years 2006 and 2009.

Steffen Iversen was appointed to the Football World Cup 1998 in the line-up of the Norwegian national football team. On 14 October 1998, the striker made ​​his debut in the match against Albania (final result 2:2 ) at Ullevaal Stadium.
