Viva Polonia

Möller, released in February 2008 Book Viva Polonia - As German guest workers in Poland is self-deprecating about his experiences in the country and with the mentality of Poland, since he there found his adopted home fourteen years ago. The book is the greatly revised and expanded version of Polska da się Lubic. A German version of the book was not originally planned, because Möller assumed no interest of the Germans. Among the 50 key words, which he describes in the book are about superstitions, conspiracy theories, Radio Maria and taboos. In Chapter superstition, the reader is given a list of 17 things that have to be observed at a wedding. In PKP ( Polskie Koleje Państwowe ) Moeller writes about his positive experience with the Polish railway, which stood quite at odds with the views of Poland. At the beginning of the book Möller describes his first encounter with the Polish grammar in Krakow. So he suspected behind " Ludwiga van Beethovena " the pseudonym of a feminist and under the monument inscription " Adamowi Mickiewiczowi Narod " a cousin of the poet or a mayor of Krakow.

Despite the different reviews in Germany, the book kept for nearly a year in the Spiegel bestseller list and has so far sold over 300,000 times. While most reviewers especially emphasize the entertainment value and contribution to international understanding, criticizing the other hand, the superficial facts representation and use of stereotypes. Möller defended himself against the cliché accusation by accusing his critics to throw " clichés " with " generalizations " in a pot. Why one should, after nearly twenty years of poles stay not generalize his experience? " Clichés " he would only if he would take over certain phrases uncritically. With the stage show Viva Polonia - As German guest workers in Poland Steffen Möller has occurred over 300 times in Germany and Austria since March 2008.
