Steffi Kraker

Steffi Kräker, after marriage Steffi Biskupek - Kräker, (born 21 April 1960 in Leipzig ) is a former German gymnast. She won in 1976 and 1980 Olympic medals.

Steffi Kräker was recorded with 13 years in the Turnriege the GDR. In 1976 she won the bronze medal with the team at the Olympic Games in Montreal. In 1977, she won in the GDR championship in heptathlon in horse jump on balance beam and uneven bars. At the European Championship 1977 in Prague, she won the bronze medal on the uneven bars. In 1978, she was the GDR champion horse jump. At the World Championships in Strasbourg, she won bronze in the horse and jump with the team. 1979 at the World Championships in Fort Worth, she won bronze on balance beam and with the team.

1980 took place in the Olympic Games in Moscow. The crew of the GDR won bronze behind the squads from the Soviet Union and Romania. In the multi- combat rating Kräker came to tenth place. On the uneven bars she was with two other gymnasts bronze and horse jump, she won silver behind Natalya Shaposhnikova. In 1981, the World Championship was held in the Olympic city of 1980, Steffi Kräker won again bronze with the team and in the horse jump.

Dr. Steffi Biskupek - Kräker has worked as a psychological psychotherapist in private practice in Leipzig. She was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2011.

In 1980 she was awarded in the GDR with the Patriotic Order of Merit.
